Elizabeth Rose Gardens

 Last weekend we went to Elizabeth Rose Gardens. It was very beautiful, a lot of the roses were in bloom! Here are some pictures from that day.

Happy Mothers Day!

Yesterday my mother and I found this mama bird sitting on her nest! 

This was the breakfast in bed I made mother for mothers day.

For her mothers day gift, I got her Pearlized Flower Stamens because she likes to make silk flowers and 15 mother of purl buttons.

I hope you all had a good mothers day(especially mamas!)

Steampunk Tree

This is a piece of art work I've been working for a while for my Steampunk class!

I'm very happy with how it came out! it was a lot of hard work, but it really payed off.

This was my original design for the tree. I was surprised by how much it changed, but I actually like it better then the sketch. It was meant to be able to collect water from rain or mist, but now it's just a sculptural piece.

I made the the trunk and branches of the tree with an assortment of differently sized wire. I  also added a little paint to make it more interesting and some nuts and bolts in the trunk. 

I made the leaves out of aluminum facing for chimneys.

I made the strands hanging from the tree by dripping hot glue over it.

I decorated a hat!

Hello!

I was out shopping and I found this amazing black floppy hat (plain) for 2 dollars! It was an amazing deal, so of course I had to get it. When I got home, I glammed it up a little (I added the chain and flowers). This is  the end result!
